What personal data do we process?

To create your profile, we ask you:

• your e-mail address to allow you to create an account and secure your access;
• your name.

Whilst visiting the smellingtraining website, we collect the following personal data:

• identity data (first name, age, sex);
• data on your medical history.

The consent you give us when you register for the smellingtraining application.

What do we do with it?

You provide this information in order to use the smellingtraining app, mainly for:

• Performing a test when you register in order to determine whether you meet the requirements for doing our training program;
• Collecting data about loss of smell or taste as a result of covid-19 for scientific research.

This data is used to allow the correct functioning of the smellingtraining app and in particular our survey.

How long do we keep this data?

The data is archived for the time you use the application. If you do not use the application for 24 months, the data will be automatically deleted to ensure your right to be forgotten.

How can I consult, modify or delete this data?

All data stored within smellingtraining can be modified or deleted directly by the owner of the account.

You can also request the deletion of your account in the application settings.

Alternatively, you can request help by sending an email to support@covidanosmie.fr.

How do we protect your data?

We guarantee state of the art technology for the protection of your data:

1. Essense employees do not have access to your information
2. As we write our own software, we know who is accessing the data and how
3. We have chosen a host that is Health Data host and ISO 27001 certified
4. The servers are updated regularly to comply with the security updates issued by the manufacturers, with a surveillance and continuous on call
5. Your data is encrypted within our databases
6. All of our data processing is documented and regularly monitored, including audits, carried out at regular intervals
